How FBLA Competitions Events Work
FBLA competitive events, otherwise known as the FBLA National Awards Program, recognize and reward excellence in a multitude of business and career-related areas. Through their unique ability to combine a competitive environment with the application of various academic skills, FBLA competitive events ensure that competitors are well-prepared for successful careers in business.
Event OrganizationNumber of Competitors: Events can be individual (1), team (2-3), or chapter (team of 2-3 leads project representing Portola) events.
Eligibility: Some FBLA events are titled "Introduction to" and these events are for those who are new to FBLA. As a result, these events are limited to freshman and sophomores and are a great way to get started! Conferences: Most of the time, in order to advance to the next conference, you must qualify by placing toward the top of your event. The conferences go from Regionals (California Southern Section), State (California State Leadership Conference), and Nationals (National Leadership Conference). Some events, however, begin at the state and national levels. This means that even if you cannot make Regionals, you can try a state event! |
